This covered chicken-on-nest dish from Avon is made of milk glass. The lid sits on a textured "nest" made to look like a basket, which has been painted a light brown or dark tan color.
Both Avon and milk glass are very collectable, and would make a great gift for someone you love! The dish measures 4 1/2" at the highest point (the head), and approximately 5" from beak to tail at the widest part (the nest). It's about 4" wide.
Condition: The lid has no chips, cracks, or other damage, although it does have some markings from coming into contact with other things. The base, or nest, has a couple of very small chips on the edge, likely from taking the lid off and putting it back on. They are very small and although visible to the eye, don't detract from the piece. See photo for damage.
